The headliners were the Starlight Mints and Of Montreal.

While waiting for the main show we went around downtown and enjoyed some of the local shops including a sweet music store that dishes up fantastic underground bands.

Afterwords we went to a small cafe called Fancy That. I got a delicious ham panini, while my boyfriend got an incredible strawberry and blue cheese salad and a side of hummus. The wait was very long but the food was worth it. I was going to take a picture of our food but we were so hungry that I didn't get the chance.

I don't have any pictures of the actual concert performance because not only am I short in a crowd of hundreds, the camera can't take very good night time pictures. The video game for the Super Nintendo. Hardly anyone knows about it's existence, but believe me its real. It has been the bane of my childhood gaming. Why? Because, my friend, it was hard. I don't even remember if I beat it or not, which provides a hint on it's difficulty. Although at this point in time I think I did beat it...once.

So what do I do? What's natural of course, I have my boyfriend try and beat it. It was amusing to see the veins of frustration pulsating in his neck. The game itself is not difficult, however the style of battle is what makes it difficult.

To complete the game you must win 4 boss battles consecutively. It sounds pretty easy considering you get a health and magic refill at the end of each battle, but its not.

Let's say we had to try and try and try (and take a nap) and try again, but finally he did it. He beat Lagoon. You should have been there to see the reaction. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he had just won the lottery just by his excitement.

If I had a video camera, I'd show you the ridiculous/awesomeness of this video game. Unfortunately I do not.

I Love Soda

I went to a popular soda shop in Arcadia, Oklahoma called Pop's. Its a combination soda shop, gas station, and restaurant. The soda side has a lot of different brands of sodas arranged by type (eg, orange, root beer, lemon-lime, etc) while the restaurant side served American foods such as hamburgers.

There were so many brands I had never of, many were what seemed to be North American, South American, and possibly European brands, not very many from Asia. It was my first time being there and to be quite honest I expected more brands. However I'm still satisfied with their current selection.

They have a section for "gross" sodas which include flavors such as garlic and boogers. It was disgusting yet oddly fascinating.

I'll probably be back again once I have a little extra money to spend.
